Aaron Snyder

As the Director of Grid Technology Consulting at EnerNex, Aaron works with utility industry clients on Grid Modernization, Smart Grid, Grid Architecture, smart metering, and AMI projects, specializing in solution architecture, requirements, specifications, testing, metering, and consumer issues. In recent years he has been supporting projects in the USA, Middle East, North Africa, and West Africa. His consulting supports utility teams in all aspects of strategy development, requirements, specification authoring, vendor interviews, procurement support (bidder evaluations), and pre-deployment support. For three years he was the deputy project manager for the NIST SGIP Administrator and was the technical champion for five of the twenty SGIP priority action plans - those related to metering and data specification standards and electric vehicles. He participates in standards development activities at national and international levels and is a Senior Member of IEEE.

Originally from West Virginia, Aaron earned degrees in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, and the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, in Grenoble, France.
