Mark Knight

Mark is the founder of G8ORZ Consulting where he provides independent consulting services. Mark is an Emeritus Member and Emeritus Chair of the GridWise Architecture Council. Mark also served as GWAC Administrator when he worked for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as Chief Engineer in the Electric Infrastructure Systems group. He is also the Emeritus Chair of SEPA’s Transactive Energy Working Group. Mark’s background includes a broad range of utility functions and he has been a utility employee in the UK and the US, has also worked at research laboratories focused on the electric grid in the UK and the US, and is a currently an independent consultant and part time photographer. Mark’s focus is through an asset management lens. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Asset Management, a Senior Fellow of the Asset Leadership Network, and is a registered asset management professional. He is a member of the US Technical Advisory Group, as part of ANSI’s responsibilities as the U.S. member body to ISO, where he is a member of TC 251 working on asset management standards.
